Glimpses: Tales from Fyretober 2021

We’re halfway there! I’m delighted to present volume four of the series, Glimpses: Tales from Fyretober 2021. With over ten years’ worth of stories created to share on my site, themes emerged. This collection’s theme is a bit different from the first those. Those gathered up tales written around a tone or sets of characters. This one centers around a time period.

This collection of stories did not have the normal weekly rules. Yes, they were based off of prompts, but they were written as part of an event. In these tales I allowed myself more room (and less time) to create the tales. Some are longer, and some shorter.

Sometimes as a writer, embracing a new challenge is a part of the writing journey. These tales came seven years into my writing flash fiction and definitely changed the pace. Doing this aids my longer works (drafts of book ones in five different universes. And some book twos!) by helping me to craft new ideas even more quickly.
