What is WonHundred Word Wednesdays? It’s when a group of amazing authors and I write 100 word stories all based on the same short prompt and post them. All the variations are fun to read. Here is my entry for the week.
I had one hope, the landlord’s hesitation. It wasn’t much of one considering what he faced. I scowled at my prospective neighbors from my hydrangeas. Too busy talking, both men missed my disdain.
She didn’t. She raised one perfectly arched eyebrow, smug in her victory. Arrogance only hell could teach. Interrupting the landlord’s questions, she reached out to touch the mortal’s arm. There went my hope. Reluctantly he handed over the key.
I sighed. He hadn’t even gotten a contract out of them. I didn’t need a succubus for a neighbor. Adjusting my halo, I went back to my flowers.
Now see the rest!

Awesome! that would be quite the neighborhood. I would so love to see this as a full book.
Thank you.
I agree. That would be the most interesting neighborhood. I would love to read a book set there! Awesome job 🙂
Wow. That’s two votes for a full novel. Perhaps I should think. 😉
That would be an interesting place to live
Wouldn’t it? Block parties might be a bit strained.
Great–neighbors from hell! 🙂 Love the post.
Thank you! I don’t foresee a fruit basket/casserole/dessert being delivered.
I love this post! You have such a great imagination and I agree with everyone else, this is a very interesting neighborhood.
Arrogance only hell could teach. <—- My favorite line! I loved this scene. Loved how she was an angel too. Cute!
