Most Prized Possession

Today's Horoscope: Your prized possession will end up in someone else's hands

Welcome to Time Warp Saturday. I join the WonHundred Word Wednesday group after it had begun. For the several weeks I will be doing posts for the prompts from before I began. Here is my entry for April 16, 2014.

Today’s Horoscope: Your prized possession will end up in someone else’s hands.

I wish I’d never read those words or been so superstitious. I might not have given away all my worldly possessions. If I prized no object, it couldn’t be taken and I wouldn’t be hurt. Or so I’d thought.

It happened as the last truckload was leaving and before the realtor arrived with the first prospective homebuyers. It had charity coordinator’s smile, his sincere, amazed gratitude. Just that and my most prized possession was gone before I realized what it was. He had my heart.

If you haven’t already, check out the rest from the present!
