Cedar and dust. They were an interesting combination and not what Brina had expected. Today had been about shattering expectations though. Seger was no exception.
He was older than she’d thought he would be. This distracted man was the one who’d tamed the dragons and defeated Botolf?
If Brina has stopped to think, her grandfather has spun the tales. She bit her lip trying to figure out how to leave without offense.
“Found you!” Seger exclaimed withdrawing from a trunk haloed by a cloud of dust. Steal gleamed as brightly as the fables.
“That’s Kelroth?” Brina asked reaching out reverently.
