What is WonHundred Word Wednesdays? It’s when a group of amazing authors and I write 100 word stories all based on the same short prompt and post them. All the variations are fun to read. Here is my entry for the week.
She didn’t look from her terminal, as if the question didn’t merit attention. “It’s all bills, bills, bills. That’s my only answer now.” The hand wave she concluded with stated her finality. I wasn’t done though and I’m stubborn.
“Pick another answer.” Spreading my feet I settled to wait, tapping my fingers erratically deliberately. She didn’t need to be comfortable. Three beats of the shift clock and she looked up glowering.
“Money shouldn’t be the deciding factor,” I cut in before she could speak. “Earth first.”
“Green spacers. Earth first after we survive.” At least I had her attention again.
