Welcome to Wednesday’s flash fiction wherein I write, as part of a group, a flash fiction based on the same short prompt and post the story. I hope you enjoy this week’s contribution.
My breathing rattled my teeth as I moved. Glancing back, I gulped seeing the platofrm’s tether to the space station. So thin. So frail.
Someone must’ve told physics to dump gravity, because I sure had to fight to remain standing.
The com’s click echoed in my helmet. “Come on, Roger,” Mark’s said. “Stop thinking and do it.”
“Easy said when you’re in bay,” I retorted checking the channel was private. “Tell me that out here.”
“I would if you’d go already.” Mark was full of it.
Clicking the com off, I adjusted my pack and jumped into nothing thrusters roaring.
Don’t forget to read the other’s takes on the prompt. More stories go up throughout the day. Be sure to check our page on Facebook for updates as everything becomes available: WonHundred Words.
